At the age of 21, Patrick received his first major feature film role in the movie In The Mood. In 2005, Patrick earned significant public attention for his iconic role as Dr. Derek Shepherd in the television series Grey’s Anatomy. This role bestowed him with several awards and nominations such as Screen Actors Guild Award, Golden Globe Award and People’s Choice Award. His other major work as an actor included Enchanted, Freedom Writers and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
